Andrew
S. Price has successfully mediated to resolution in excess of
200 commercial and public policy controversies. Disputes have involved
multiple and complex issues arising in the context of employment and discrimination
controversies, breach of contract allegations, including, but not limited
to service contracts, supply agreements, computer software and hardware
contracts, partnership and shareholder agreements, and agreements concerning
the operation and governance of charitable foundations, insurance coverage
issues, commodity and security disputes, healthcare disputes and banking
disputes. Disputants have included both large and small, public and private
companies, government agencies, banks, health care providers, law firms
and other professional corporations, retailers, manufacturers, communication
companies universities and other educational units.
Many of our mediations involve multiple party controversies.
Examples would include:
- The successful mediation of a dispute arising from the construction
of a housing development built on a former municipal landfill. The dispute
involved 350 homeowners, 38 insurance companies, the developer and predecessor
land owners. There were multiple environmental and consumer fraud claims.
A consensual resolution was reached between the developer, landowners
and homeowners. Individual resolutions were reached with some of the
insurance companies as well.
- The successful mediation of a funding and governance dispute among
seven municipal constituent members of a regional water treatment authority.
- The successful mediation of an environmental cleanup controversy involving
17 parties in a private CERCLA action.
- The successful mediation of an employment discrimination joinder action
brought by more than 150 plaintiffs against an employer and multiple
employment agencies.
- The successful mediation of a multiple party landlord/tenant dispute
arising from an environmental contamination of a shopping center.

S. Price has also been selected to serve as an impartial arbitrator in
disputes involving a full range of commercial and other business related
disputes. In addition to private appointments. He has also served as an
arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association, National Health
Lawyers Association, the National Futures Association, the
Philadelphia Stock Exchange, the New York Stock Exchange,
the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania - Bureau of Labor Relations, the
New Jersey State Board of Mediation, the United States District
Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the Philadelphia
Court of Common Pleas and the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas.
As an arbitrator, Mr. Price has rendered in excess of seventy written
opinions or awards.
